The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many companies to adopt remote work as a way to keep employees safe and continue business operations. But as the world starts to recover and vaccinations become more widespread, companies are faced with a new question: should they return to the office or continue working remotely?

Recent surveys show that many employees want to continue working remotely, at least part-time, even after the pandemic is over. A survey by Buffer found that 92% of remote workers want to continue working remotely at least some of the time, while a survey by PwC found that 64% of employees want a hybrid model of remote and in-office work.

Companies are starting to take notice and adapt their policies accordingly. Facebook, for example, announced that its employees will be able to work from home until the end of 2021, and Twitter and Square have made the decision to allow their employees to work from home indefinitely.

However, it’s not just employees who are benefiting from remote work. Companies are also seeing cost savings from not having to maintain office space and increased productivity from employees who are able to work in their preferred environments.

While remote work is here to stay, it’s important for companies to provide the necessary tools and support for their remote employees to ensure they are able to stay connected and productive. This includes providing access to the necessary technology, such as laptops and VPNs, as well as offering virtual team-building and training opportunities.

It’s clear that remote work is the future of work and companies that are able to adapt and embrace it will be at a competitive advantage. Remote work has the potential to increase employee satisfaction and productivity, reduce costs, and even help attract top talent from around the world.

In conclusion, remote work is the new normal, and companies must adapt to it to survive and thrive in the post-pandemic world.
